Rawhyde Adventures Presents the First Annual American Adventure Rider's Challenge!

June 2007

American Adventure Rider's Challenge

On June 6th through June 10th, Jim Hyde and Rawhyde Adventures along with BMWXPLOR, Touratech, Kawasaki & Riders of Kawasaki, Jesse Luggage Systems, Aeroflow and BMW of Ventura County will be sponsoring a three-day dualsport riding event at the Adventure Rider Camp (RawHyde Training Facility) in Castaic, California (just off the Grapevine outside Los Angeles). June 6th and 10th are arrival and departure days. The three days of riding are the 7th through the 9th.

Included in the price of $349.00 are 10 meals, souvenir log book, embroidered off-road riding jacket (the real thing, not just a walking-around jacket), three days of skills contests and off-road rides, and probably some training for beginners.

There are also contests for dealer teams and we'd like to see 10 or 12 California BMW customers join us to form a team. You don't have to be a ringer, you just have to be enthusiastic about participating, as this is a fun event and having a good time and an adventure is the goal. I will be going down in my Jeep with a trailer on the 6th and can can carry gear for people. My trailer rails will be full, however.

This is the real thing! Jim puts on a great event; every one I have attended has been a great success, with good food, reasonable accommodations, plenty of support, great companionship and of course terrific riding! So please sign up and send me an e-mail if you have any questions, and especially if you want to be on the CAL GS team. Remember, you don't have to be Jimmy Lewis to be on the team, participation is what counts.

Check out our special offer for those who may be time or budget challenged!

See you in the dirt!
