Eligible members of either the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp, Space Force, and Coast Guard) or the Uniformed Forces as defined in 10 U.S. Code § 101 includes active guard and reserve personnel, the commissioned corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the commissioned corps of the Public Health Service. Individuals who have been released from active duty or received an honorable or general discharge from active duty or received an honorable or general discharge from active duty in the armed forces are also eligible upon presenting a copy of DD Form 214.
